Ours was an unusual request as we wanted to create a garden area on top of a very large and deep block of concrete. From the design stage through to completion of the works, Francesca and her team were a pleasure to work with. I contacted Francesca because I could see she specialises in smaller gardens and having asked another company who were only working on large gardens I selected Francesca to design and landscape and plant the garden. The brief was respected at all times and we went with a combination of the three designs she gave us. They worked in windy and rainy conditions in February 2022 and the result is amazing. Please be aware of my experience before making your decision. I informed Francesca from Green Eyes Garden Design of my budget at the outset and that I needed somebody to complete the project from beginning to end to include the fencing however, the estimate was excluding fencing as evidently the fencer had had an incident. Francesca recommended a fencer whom she had worked with for over 10 years so it begs the question why didn’t she use this contractor and oversee the project as agreed? I am aware of rising costs but the estimate plus fencing would have taken me over my planned budget. I informed I had a few concerns and I was disappointed fencing was now not included; at this stage I wanted to try to work out a way forward however, Francesca withdrew her quotation informing she no longer felt comfortable hence I wasn’t given the opportunity to discuss any options to move forward. I respectfully requested £425 design fees be reimbursed thus allowing me to start over with another designer/landscaper to which the response was “……certainly not refundable” and any landscaper could work from the plans. I said I would need to take legal advice as my understanding was that there was a breach of contract however as I did not want to take this route I suggested that perhaps my project had been under quoted (one example, Francesca suggested 4 bulk bags of chippings at £219 per bag when in fact a landscaper looking over the plans saying it would in fact be 10 bulk bags) and if so and I was to increase my budget (without fencing) would Green Eyes fulfil our agreement to which the response was no. Unfortunately a bad experience which I would not like to happen to anybody else. Service: Garden design

Francesca listened attentively and took copious notes as we outlined our rather diverging preferences. The resulting design for a courtyard garden was a well thought out proposal which managed to satisfy us both. It dealt with the subtle level changes perfectly and gave several alternative locations to sit and enjoy a sense of place. By clever use of surfaces and viewpoints she managed to make what is quite a small garden look an awful lot bigger. While we did not use her team for the actual construction she was happy to return to advise on the final planting and finessing. we have so many people admiring the finished result. Couldn't be happier. Francesca and her team did an amazing job in our garden. A new build house garden leaves little options, and we wanted something that could work for us to relax in, son to play in and the dogs to enjoy. We wanted a bit of everything. A personable consultation so she got to know us and our wants. Some designs were presented to us and we ended up with a design we loved. Francesca gave us options to suit our budget on 'content' such as plants etc and then we/she were off!! Everything was taken care of, there was no hassle at all. On time, on budget and at a quality we didn't think possible, and certainly beyond that of your casual recreational gardener. This was a few years back now, and as the garden has grown and established we love it more and more. Green Eye have designed both the front area of our garden and subsequently, redesigned our large back garden which was extended substantially. They did an amazing job, meeting our design requirements, tricky when both of us had very different ideas! They were on hand to help advise on the build, which was amazing given how far away I live. Green Eye Garden Design service hit our design brief perfectly when we were remodelling our garden to fit in with our new contemporary-style kitchen extension and a tight budget. Green Eye created a beautiful well thought out garden-cum-entertaining space with angled raised planters, a cedar wood inset sunning beach and decorative planted border. Our garden is relatively small but their design maximised the space so our son and his mates still have plenty of space to play in whilst still looking stylish. We are very happy with the end result and recommend their service to anyone looking for a creative and consultative approach.

We used Green Eye on my sister’s recommendation and they remodelled our small London garden for us. Everything we had tried in the space, over several years, kept on dying. They made the space usable and seem a lot bigger than it actually was, right down to recommending a bench, the shape of which suited its position perfectly. The plants have thrived in the damp and shady position and colours they used made the space feel warm and open. The workmanship is solid and the mortar between the paving slabs hasn’t crumbled or flakes at all as I’ve seen on other people’s terraces.
